Michael Speaks, round three: The Dutch Touch. These courses with Speaks have been some of the most informative courses I have taken here. And, I think the information will continue to breed new information in my mind as I am able to fully explore the networks of knowledge introduced. The course gets off to a slow start, with Michael in the Netherlands. Then, probably a hot finish, several two meeting weeks. I suppose this will not be unlike the summer quarter. Move-in continues. I rearranged the desk a bit. Picked up some extra space. Preparation for a rock session. These quarters always start so quickly. Absolutely no time to slouch. Yet, there is an urge to do so. I feel like kicking some booty with the sticks. So, I make a leap over to the bottom for some games. Some kind of weird crowd this evening. Notably some guy who was drilling me on my art direction claiming I was a sell-out who bought into people's expectations. I have heard my work described in many different ways, but this was a first. |
