Okay, I had to spend the entire day and evening composing the essays for Speaks' course. In the end, decent work, but not stellar. The series centered around the idea of communication in architecture. This ranged from Jencks and Venturi to Polo and Denari. All have very interesting theories, each with its strong points. So, with that, I am officially pronouncing the Fall Quarter to be finished. Great quarter. Fantastic work. Considerable progress. I feel I am now maybe ten years or so behind. The idea is to push forward to as close to today as possible over the next two quarters. Then, in post-post graduate, hopefully, I can slip into something much greater. So, in the winter quarter I hope to take Erdman, Mayne and Speaks. But, that may be getting a little ahead of myself. Now, it may be time to enjoy a small break. I still need to finalize a computer program for the java class, and I will most likely be recruited to do some modeling of Madrid in three dimensions. <continued>
