PAU! Large scale low-income housing projects situated in terrible urban designs. It will probably not be long until they are slum-like. Strangely, the buildings are often completed by rockstar architects such as Alejandro or Thom. So, what happens is some iconic buildings working solo. To be fair, I do not blame the architects. Plus, Thom's project was super. Not completed, but clear it will be rich in experience within the labyrinth. A few days later, he will tell me the construction costs of the building total around seventy dollars a square foot. Cheap. In the morning, the class met with the city department in charge of implementing the architecture of the PAUs. Afterwards, we toured many of the buildings. By tour I mean, gorilla style snuck in and out without detection. Tonight, bar time. First, Tapas, a word I am getting used to. This time, patatas bravo. Next, some little Irish pub. Gangsta's Paradise was a sing-a-long song for the entire bar. <continued> |
