Tuesday is a good day to get touched by the Dutch. This is the last time the dutch will be allowed to take advantage of me in such a way. Those sneaky dutch and there smooth talking. It still leaves me with the question: What is architectural innovation? When asked what material one of his transarchitectures utilized in construction, Marcos Novak responded, “I don't know. It hasn't been created yet.” Marcos has the ability to be so innovative, he has completely moved beyond the realm of anything feasible in the twenty first century. If asked of his designs, Peter Eisenman may go into a long spiel about collaged diagrams and the search for meaning in architecture. On the other hand, Frank Gehry simply states of the same architecture, “The best thing about Peter's buildings is the insane spaces he ends up with. That's why he is an important architect. All that other stuff, the philosophy ... is just bullshit as far as I'm concerned.” <continued> |
