There is a party on my couch. Only I was invited. Three days left. This will be the last time I work at home. I do not agree with working at home. It is not an effective way for me to get work complete. Especially if the work is to be completed within a team environment. I know the other half of the team must be frustrated with my decision to do some of the work away from the studio. However, I need to stand by my decision. I do not feel the atmosphere of the studio is conducive to the workload I need to manage in these final hours. I do not believe the current setup at UCLA is correct. My feeling is that students do not support each other as much as they should. It is very competitive here. I imagine it is competitive at most excelled universities. A little competitive energy can go a far way in the motivation department. I perhaps should have been more competitive. <continued> |
