So, Monday is the midterm review for PAU!now. I have spent much of the afternoon modeling in Maya. Sweeping closed shapes is frustrating. Typing in each command in Rhinoceros is equally, if not more frustrating. That means anywhere from four to six extra button presses for the same command. The design has shifted a bit. What once was super dense zones sparsely spread across the north/south axis of the site, has become evenly distributed densities. Our strategy is to print a larger scaled chunk of the site near the principle transportation station in the southern half of the site. Then, somehow pull together all of these diagrams we have been accumulating with the new material and see what kind of boards we have in the end. I am not sure what the graphics will become without a consistent focus. The digital modeling has been entirely too rushed, and will certainly draw the criticisms of the jury. A priori design. I am sure that will be echoing across the lips of these often hyper-critical experts. Two days to plan the defense. |
