I had a rather late arrival to the office this evening. Basically, throughout the day I had to run around and take care of seeking some supplies for the job. The air brush paints are getting low. The power supplies are not adequate. The problems continue. Upon arrival, launch into a session of ultimate air-brush excitement. Before, it has been tough to get the air brush paint to adhere to the plastic. We have tried pre-coating the plastic with a clear spray paint, then a few layers of semi-translucent airbrush paint, and finally a top coat of clear spray paint. The airbrush paint has a tendency to drip, bubble, and spray unevenly unless the mixture is correct. Effectively, a greater the percentage of thinning chemicals in the paint mixture results in cleaner and easier air brushing. The majority of the evening was spent airbrushing. I think there are too many people concerned with finish techniques and not enough concern with the next steps. This has been a problem throughout. The process is not linear. <continued> |
