Welcome to November. Welcome to that interesting juxtaposition of pain and pleasure. Hellraiser first caught my attention in this regard. The parallels to architecture stemming from this film may extend beyond the obvious awesomeness of pinheads spiky skull. Pain and pleasure. Pain, working twenty-four hours a day. I am not going to say twenty-five hours a day because there are only twenty four hours. Here, the exaggeration seems to distract from the reality. Though, the reality seems to be an exaggeration of anything actually real. Sometimes, we are convinced of this idea of free will. Yet, currently, I have set in motion a series of events that will lead me ultimately to something Monday. Or even further, somewhere else. I am not convinced that is totally fixed though. Perhaps a fixation could have existed. Yet, a decision to enroll in graduate school throws any predestination into a state of flux. It is also the sickness of finding pleasure while in the clutches of the beastly injection of pain.
