I also despise politics. I love that quote... I used to use a pencil but it got too personal... Like showing too much, putting too much on the line. Maybe there is a threshold. I remember getting seriously upset when hearing some of the comments made about the merrill design. Not so much because I thought they were unfounded, but more that I was surprised someone could not appreciate the effort and work I had put in and my understanding it as both a selfish and altruistic design. But that depth of investigation into the design was not taken, one look, I do not like it. No study, no reason for not liking it... too tall. To attach so much to it, and that is the reaction... too tall. (which, may also stem from the common thought of the definition of the word architect as a builder, or construction manager. Whereas, the word may actually have closer similarities to the word artist- a question of scale.) That is seriously hurtful. Very. And yes, this logic can be extended to instances of inter-team dynamics. <continued>
